The Highway and Sanitation Departments will be closed for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Monday, January, 17^th, 2022. There will be no trash or recycling pickups. Trash for District #2 will have pickup on Thursday, January 20^th.  The recycling will have to be held till the following week, Monday, January 24^th.

WHEREAS, the Town Supervisor, as the Chief Executive Officer of the Town of Cornwall, is empowered to proclaim a local state of emergency within the unincorporated area of the Town of Cornwall pursuant to the provisions of Section 24 of the New York State Executive Law for a period of up to thirty (30) days; and

WHEREAS, the spike in cases of corona virus (COVID-19) in the existing pandemic has produced public health emergency within the unincorporated area of the Town of Cornwall;

NOW, THEREFORE, by virtue of the powers vested in me as Supervisor of the Town of Cornwall and pursuant to Section 24 of the Executive Law of the State of New York, I do hereby proclaim that the state of emergency established on January 4, 2022 which shall continue until February 3, 2022, unless a proclamation lifting the state of emergency is issued at an earlier date.
