Be sure to take precautions and stay hydrated throughout the day. Take breaks from the sun in a shaded area, cooling station, and be sure to visit the art show in the Ice House.

Cornwall, NY Office of Emergency Management has great tips for beating the heat on their social media pages and their website: ready.cornwallny.gov

The Cornwall Independence Day Committee has done an excellent job securing vendors that will have plenty of food and beverages for purchase throughout the day. In addition, the Town will have cooling stations in the following locations:

• Tented Area Outside of Town Hall

As always, Cornwall/NWEMS will be standing by to provide medical care as needed and running the cooling station outside of Town Hall.

Draft Comprehensive Plan 2025 3.jpg

Draft Comprehensive Plan

We’ve been working hard over the past year to update the Town of Cornwall’s Comprehensive Plan—and now we want to hear from you. 🏡📊

This draft plan reflects months of work by the Comprehensive Plan Committee, input from our boards and partners, and—most importantly—feedback from residents through the 2025 community survey. 📝 That survey made it clear: people want to stay informed, protect our natural resources 🌳, and plan thoughtfully for the future.

📄 You can now review:

• The Draft Comprehensive Plan

• Results from the 2025 Community Survey

Both are available on the Town website. 💻

https://cornwallny.com/Community/Government/Comprehensive-Plan-Committee

🗓️ We invite all residents to attend the Public Hearing on May 21st and share your thoughts. 🗣️

✉️ Written comments can also be submitted to the Town Clerk’s Office in person or via email - [email protected]

This plan will help guide Cornwall’s future—balancing smart growth 📈, environmental protection 🌿, and maintaining the quality of life that makes our community so special. ❤️

Your voice matters—take a few minutes to review and be part of the process. 🙌
