Columbus Day Holiday Pickup Schedule

The Highway and Sanitation Departments will be closed on Monday, October 9th, in observance of Columbus Day. There will be no trash or recycling pickups on that day. Recycling will have to be held for pick up on the following Monday, October 16th 2023.
District 2 will only have trash pickup on Thursday of that week, October 12th. Any questions or concerns please call the Highway Dept. @ 845.534.2171. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Parking Restrictions for Sunday, October 1st – Color Bash

On Sunday October 1^st 2023, in support of The Town of Cornwall Youth Committee’s 2023 Color Bash, the following road closures will be in effect from 2:50 p.m. to approximately 3:40 p.m.:

Main Street will be closed to all traffic between Hudson Street and Union Street.  
Willow Avenue will be closed between Main and Grand Street.
Broadway will be closed between Willow Avenue and Bridge Street.
No parking will be permitted on Bridge Street.

Special Joint VCOH/TOC Board Meeting - 9/21/23

Notice is hereby given that the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson Board of Trustees and the Town of Cornwall Board will hold a Special Joint Meeting on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 7:00 p.m., at 325 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520 to discuss the master plan put forth by Pitingaro & Doetsch Consulting Engineers, P.C. for the water system and to address any other business that might come before the Board.

No Senior Bus Service 9-11-23 to 9-20-23

There will be no Senior Bus Service from Monday 9-11-23 to Wednesday 9-20-23.  Service will resume Thursday 9-21-23.

TOWN BOARD SPECIAL MEETING 8-29-23

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Cornwall, in the County of Orange, State of New York, will meet at the Town Hall Conference Room, 183 Main Street, Cornwall, New York, on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. to discuss the temporary closure of Continental Road and any other business that may come before the Board.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT THE TOWN OF CORNWALL TOWN BOARD WILL HOLD A SPECIAL MEETING on Monday, August 14, 2023 at 8:30 a.m.at Town Hall, 183 Main Street, Cornwall, NY 12518.  The purpose of the special meeting is to discuss approval of certain infrastructure work required on an existing sewer line which needs to be performed on an expedited basis, and any other business that may come before the Town Board at that time.

UPDATE: Due to flooding in the courtroom, the 7-17-23 Zoning Board of Appeals meeting will be held at Munger Cottage, 40 Munger Drive.

The Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on the application of 2 Girls 1 Boy Holdings, LLC (317 Main St.)  on MONDAY, July 17, 2023 at 7:00 pm at Munger Cottage, 40 Munger Drive, Cornwall.  The published Legal Notice mistakenly listed the day as Tuesday.

Town of Cornwall Justice Court Cancelled - July 12th & July 13th

Town of Cornwall Justice Court is cancelled Wednesday, July 12^th and Thursday, July 13^th due to flooding.  Letters rescheduling court dates will be mailed.
